Slow Food Beagá Pela Cultura Alimentar

We are a Slow Food community in the city of Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais department in Brazil, where it's a melting pot of the Brazilian food culture. We aim to preserve and promote our traditional food culture as well as our sociobiodiversity, mainly from the Cerrado (the Brazilian Savannah) through events, educational activities and taste education workshops.

We want to strengthen the research and cataloguing of local beans and their history. Nowadays we are on the process of registering a local variety of a bean on the Ark of Taste that has a similar variety in Poland.
