Sito Seeds is a newly founded volunteer seed savers network expanding all over Greece, as an umbrella of communication, education and activities on traditional seeds.
On our webpage we host the first online seed database in Greece, based on farmers’ experiences.
Our seed savers produce traditional seeds, distribute them for free, treasuring and sharing this knowledge, aiming at the regeneration and the reclaiming of our common seed heritage.
We cultivate organically, following the principles of agroecology and focusing on soil regeneration.
Sito Seeds network will be represented by the Holy Monastery of St John the Baptist (mt Kissavos, Larissa) and Nikolaos Dompazis (Komotini) who will offer their gardens for growing legumes during the Global Bean project.
