During its two fruitful first years, The Global Bean Project has been funded by the German environment ministry (BMUV) and we were able to carry out a variety of activities with a central coordination amongst a growing global network of experts and enthusiasts. The network now counts above 100 partners from 37 countries. From now on, the survival of The Global Bean Project will depend on the network’s self-organisation. At our last partners meetings, we jointly decided to continue with some basic activities:
Meetings
- We will organise at least 4 public public events per year, where one aspect of the bean universe will be presented by experts. It will be combined with an internal exchange within the partners network.
- If you want to join our working Group on future Global Bean events, or if you would like to present a topic, please reach out to info globalbean.eu
- Save the date! The next partners meeting will take place on Thursday November 7th at 4 pm CET (Berlin time).
Website, Social Media and Newsletter
- Website: We call to partners to send us articles and publications, ready to be published on the website.
- Social Media: Posts will be published on Instamgram and LinkedIn and we invite partners to send us an image, a very short description (3 sentences) and a link to the input they would like to share. Contact us at info globalbean.eu.
- Newsletter: We would like to keep disseminating bean-news from the network and we are looking for a volunteer to collect news and send out the newsletter. Contact us at .
Open Exchange within the Network
A Whatsapp community allows the network to have an continuous, decentralized exchange in various topic-related groups such as: Legume Preparation, Cultivation, Education and Promotion. Join the Global Bean Whatsapp community through this link or send us your phone number at if you would like to be added to the Whatsapp community.
Educational Work
The Global Bean Project is part of the international Global Field movement. Educational modules to be conducted on the global fields will be created, existing modules further developed. You are welcome to contribute and to use them also at other educational sites and projects.
